History and references
In the month of Ramadan, the Prophet Muhammad (SAV) was passed through the angel Jibril (Gabriel biblical archangel), the first divine revelation. This happened in the year 610, when Muhammad was in Mecca under the cave of Hira, where he often retreated for religious vigils. This and subsequent revelations received by Muhammad, the holy book of Islam have made – the Koran.
The Quran says that: “O you who believe, fasting is prescribed to you, as it was prescribed to those before you – perhaps you fear Allah!” (Qur’an, Sura 2, verse 183). It is in Surah Al Baqarah clearly painted on the month of Ramadan and fasting according to which Muslims are governed.
The Prophet Muhammad (sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said that with the advent of the month of Ramadan the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of Hell are closed and tied Shaitan, so he did not harm the Muslims, do not stray from the path of truth. If people knew the benefits of Ramadan, they would have wished that it lasted forever.
The essence of fasting in the month of Ramadan
Almost the full extent of the rejection of all the necessary things for a person in the month of Ramadan, is a manifestation of the degree of belief in Allah. During this period, Muslims have a real opportunity to show to God about the true abilities of confrontation against unlawful actions of which appears due to human passion. In the month of Ramadan, it is necessary to keep both externally and internally clean, removing all bad thoughts and activity. Absolutely impermissible to make dirty in Ramadan activities and things that are not pleasing to God because it does not need such a post in which there is instigation. Those who believe in God believe that the net content of the post as a spiritually and physically in the month of Ramadan, a positive effect on the soul of mankind.
In Ramadan the believers more time and effort is put into prayer and thus often read verses of the Quran, and try to make most noble action, sharing its values in need of a “Sadaka” and “Zakat”. Some Muslims who due to their reasons were not able to constantly read the prayer, then with the onset of Ramadan, they solemnly come back namaz knowing that this is the holy month gives a great chance for atonement of sins.
